The Pool

THE SWIMMING POOL IS CURRENTLY OUT OF ORDER.

OUT OF ORDER. OUR NEW ADDITION IN 2023

Our new addition in 2023 is a 25-meter pool heated with natural Pohorje water.

Swimming engages almost all muscle groups in the body, providing a comprehensive workout. During swimming, the muscles of the arms, legs, abdomen, back, shoulders, chest and hips are activated. This contributes to improved physical strength, endurance, and flexibility.

Swimming is a low-impact exercise, meaning it is less stressful on joints and bones compared to other sports such as running or basketball. This makes swimming particularly suitable for people of all ages, even those with joint problems or injuries.

Swimming is a great way to improve your cardiovascular system. Regular aerobic exercise, such as swimming, can strengthen the heart, increase lung capacity and improve blood circulation. It can also help regulate blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart disease and brain stroke.

IMPROVING ENDURANCE AND RESPIRATORY CAPACITY

Swimming is an aerobic activity that increases endurance and improves the functioning of the respiratory system. Regular swimming can increase lung capacity, enhance oxygen flow to the muscles, and improve the performance of respiratory muscles.

Help in maintaining a healthy body weight: swimming is an effective way to burn calories and maintain a healthy body weight. Since swimming involves multiple muscle groups and is an intense workout, the body uses more energy compared to some other sports. Regular swimming can contribute to losing excess body weight and increase muscle mass.

Coordination and balance improvement: swimming requires synchronized movements of the arms, legs, head, and body. This helps to develop coordination, balance and body control.
